I highly support the idea of forming a UNAOC youth council. Edrissa Baldeh

According to me, the proposed Draft Concept Note is well defined and clearly stating what the initiative would be striving for (btw, you must have great digital skills). I also support this idea in the frames of Narratives of Tomorrow and let's see if / how can it be realized from the perspective of UNAOC Charter. It would be also relevant to see what concrete actions and activities can be done at national/ regional / global levels as to foster the impact of those proposals. There is also a large pool of potential partners to realize those actions and activities as well, like the Global Shape-rs mentioned above, for instance. Though many of us can involve on voluntarily basis in their countries, a serious topic for the sustainability issue would be the financial part (and the logistical one), moreover since a General Assembly is envisaged to take place early. Thank you.

This is an amazing work and I salute all the hard work put into it. I have a small concern about the inclusiveness of the preparation of this document. We're about 150 participants and it will only seem fair if we were somehow all involved to co-create it. I'll suggest using a progressive consultation process involving all participants where we could divide the load among different subgroups the same way we're doing with the "narratives of tomorrow". I really like this initiative and I hope we could further develop it together. Ornella NSOKI MALANDA

I totally support this initiative, but let's go further on explaining: - Financial and logistical part. - What concrete activities will be carried out to achieve the goals. -Who would be our partners or who we do partnerships with.

Until young people around the world continue acknowleged under the UNAOC framework and supported as actors in promoting inclusive societies, the work they do will remain unrecognized. Supporting the formation of the UNAOC Youth Council

Respectable colleagues, I am glad to became part of active forum, the world that we live in, need joint efforts by all nations, therefore it is our duty to do something crucial and important for better world, I welcome every type of initiatives. This is simply a GREAT idea indeed! Thanks to Emmanuel and Michael for the bright reflexions and the commitment. I'll just come with some few points that I think we need to clarify: 1- Membership: Of whom this Youth UNAOC Council members will be constituted. Will it be through selection with an application process, or as we are those who bring up this idea, should we be automatically considered or what other option? Will those members work under a timely mandate? If yes, for how long will it last? 2- Financial aspects: As I commented on the Facebook post, it will be interesting to add a financial sustainability proposal; or at least, should we think about it now to be able to propose something when we'll be asked to do so. 3- Aside of all this, I agree with Christian Cito about the inclusive aspects. If we can get up to 50 of us, or even more, contribute to the document, we shall pass the argument Oana gave us about the Memo. I strongly hope we concretize this initiative, and I want to fully contribute to it here in Benin. Proud to be a part of this community, guys!

Thanks for the great initiative, I read through the proposal and it looks exciting! I know it is a bit challenging, but I am still totally supporting this idea of a UNAOC youth council. I believe such a network has the potential of empowering youth in a wider range with a larger impact. I am definitely a part of it and going to offer my full efforts. Besides, I think that it will be also important to design our core activities, including the forum you mention, if possible. I think it will also help if there are more flagship activities, that can be scalable and have real impacts. I also believe it is important to connect with some of the existing international youth body, such as the Youth Gate of the United Nations, SDSN Youth, Restless Development, UN MGCY and other bodies (UNAOC) for sure; at the same time connect more youth organizations in different countries, such as YELI in Burundi. Hello everyone. This is a wonderful initiative and I believe with enough commitment and a more concrete sustainability measurements, we could easily convince the officials. What about doing a workshop for the ones who are interested to give our comments and feedback on the initial draft, get it signed and then communicate it? When would be the best time to do this kind of workshop and meeting? Lebanon Chapter here we come.
