Masks are not proven to be effective. It my right to decide for myself and my family to not wear one. This should not be mandated.

Our lawmakers never made this a law. Governors don't make law. They are only supposed to enforce the laws existing on the books. This "mandate" violates our Constitutional rights. Please do not enforce the mask mandate.

Where there is risk, there needs to be choice. Masks in texas pose a risk to the healthy individual and the same scientists who advocate for them now were adamant they DO NOT help or work just 2 months ago.

There are numerous videos and other information sources stating there are dangers in wearing masks. The scientific community has proven this. It is a control mechanism. Please do not follow this mandate. There are many places not following because they are aware of the stated issues.

The New England journal of medicine is just one of many that I have seen come out and say mask are not suitable outside of healthcare facilities. Say it’s nearly impossible to contract this by simply walking past someone. CDC has made adjustments to their page and all these homemade cloth mask that people are walking around in are actually more harmful to the healthy then helpful. There are many cases of pleurisy popping up in healthy young individuals that y’all are forcing to wear mask all day at work in this ungodly heat. Doctors and nurses do it in a controlled atmosphere, it’s below 70 degrees in their offices and operation rooms are even colder. There is no comparison. Working in a restaurant is the equivalent to working out. It’s hot, it’s non-stop, it’s miserable enough with temperatures most days and now they must wear a mask all day? Have you ever worked in this fast pace of a setting and tried breathing through a mask? You’re causing more harm than good. You were elected to work for us not control us. Protect your people. My health is up to me not to you. You don’t give up freedoms for safety. Do what you were hired to do and protect your people. Give us the choice back.

The Taylor County Sheriff's Office is on track to log more than 25,000 calls for service in the county this year. The number of unlogged calls for service(not requiring a disposition) will double that number. Our resources in the county are limited, Deputies have other responsibilities that require more immediate attention than stopping in on Tye , Tuscola, Lawn, Buffalo Gap, Shep, Ovalo, Merkel, Trent,Potosi, etc answering complaints of neighbors ratting out neighbors over masks.

You have always had my vote in the past but now I am expecting you to take a stand to protect us from overreaching government mandates as well as the criminals. That is your job as our elected County Sheriff.

WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO OUR OWN BODY! WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO MAKE OUR OWN HEALTH DECISIONS! WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE THE MASK IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO ALLOW YOUR COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO MAKE THEIR OWN CHOICES!
