I'm quite annoyed by this move of BC Transit. I didn't fully understand that they did away with the multi-month youth pass until i was unable to purchase one today at the Victoria head office.
I'm OK with making monthly passes more accessible to those who cannot afford a multi-month pass, and I understand that the transfer system is hard to monitor and inefficient. However, I'm really frustrated that the monthly passes are more expensive than the old youth passes (per month) and less convenient.
A cash grab and a poorly rolled out change to many products at once.
I do not approve.

Children should be able to get to and from school safely each day without it costing families $540.00 a year. This is a huge burden on families who rely on the public transit system.

Victoria BC has got to be the"ONLY PLACE" in the world that you don't get a "TRANSFER NOW" when taking the bus - even in San Francisco which bus fare is $1.00 with a transfer and their buses are loaded... Here are buses are empty like BC Ferries as they keep upping the fares. Example: having to take two buses to go to catch ferry - used to be $2.50 - now $5.00, even for students & seniors. Nice going BC Transit, so hard for your drivers to read a transfer. "BRING BACK THE TRANSFER"

BC transit tried to make their day passes sound like a great new idea but they always existed. For someone who takes the bus home one-way quite regularly and used to be able to get home for $2.50 on a transfer the fact that my transportation cost doubled is ridiculous,

I agree that BC TRANSIT fares are ridiculous. I have to catch two buses each day & either they come too early or way to late. We also play enough to run a 72 every 15 minutes and not every half hour. Come on

I believe that this is outrageous. BC transit was supposed to be a way for people transport themselves around the city at low costs, and they've taken that away from us.

I rely heavily on the youth pass because it allows me a cheaper way to get to and from school. Since I am underage, the adult passes are too expensive to afford.
