BC Transit has officially confirmed the reinstatement of multi-month youth passes and green tickets along with the reduction of day pass pricing. We achieved the necessary policy reversal through consistent pressure and will now monitor the implementation phase to ensure these services are restored without delay.

This petition is regarding the state of BC transit for commuters. They have currently:
- dropped the multi-month youth pass
- discontinued the youth/senior tickets (the green tickets)
- stopped offering hourly transfers
These changes will negatively affect transit users, especially low income families, in how we take the bus daily.
Our goal is to:
- Bring Back the multi-month youth pass and green tickets
- Lower day pass prices to $4 or under to compensate for the loss of transfers

The petition reached 500 signatures today. I am now drafting the formal letter that outlines our specific demands to BC Transit management regarding fare reinstatement. My next priority is confirming a meeting time with the regional transit board to present these concerns.

My wife and I are seniors on fixed incomes. Riding around all day for five dollars does nothing for us. We used our green tickets and transfers for our medical appointments. You've now gouged youths and seniors. Our car is back on the road
I don't like that they took the Youth Pass away. It really doesn't make sense?! The city bus is very helpful for youth to be independent and get to and from activities. Low income families will not be able to afford the price jump and ridership will certainly be affected!!
In some areas it's impossible to get anywhere with one bus! If you're going to take away transfers at least give us more cross district routes. I had to take at least four busses everyday to go to school and back. I'm not about to spend $10 a day if they get rid of transfers
Your changes to the fare structure are unfair!! They target the working poor, and now that the provincial disabled bus pass has been clawed back by the province, the disabled as well. Stop gouging the poor!! Fare changes should NOT create more hardships for poor and marginalized people!
Do not remove the youth pass. Students who need to use public transit to get to and from school should not be penalized. Parents will simply resort to driving students and increase traffic. Check how many students are at bus stops after school.

BC transit tried to make their day passes sound like a great new idea but they always existed. For someone who takes the bus home one-way quite regularly and used to be able to get home for $2.50 on a transfer the fact that my transportation cost doubled is ridiculous,
