As a resident of Fairfield I feel increasingly frustrated at the lack of concern about the state of access into Fairfield and lack of action. Apart from the very sad fatal accident the other week, which gridlocked Buxton for hours there are problems with heavy goods vehicles accessing the industrial estate, buses not being able to run to schedule and other issues to numerous to mention. We in Fairfield need help and we need it now !!!

This has been much needed for a while now. The A6 Fairfield Road is a nightmare. I try to avoid it as much as I can, particularly early morning and late afternoon, but if you need to get to Fairfield, or even the outlying villages that side of town, there's no alternative. Fortunately for me, I live at the other side of town, but I feel so sorry for those who live and work in Fairfield. Time for change!

I could'nt agree more it is getting worse as there are more vehicles on the roads, and stupidly placed zebra crossings in town.

As town development increases with current projects, extra traffic will add to already high congestion

Apart from affecting the normal day to day business and trade of the town, the traffic congestion plays a major part in reducing the much needed tourism to Buxton

There needs to be a discussion on building a bypass around Buxton again, and this time it needs to be followed through. There is way to much traffic coming through Buxton its not only dangerous but unsightly to.

Every route into Buxton is congested. It is becoming increasingly unsafe. Pedestrian crossings need to be put in the right places.
If you start work at 9 for example and you are travelling into Buxton a 3 mile journey would take you up to 45 mins.. Traffic is very busy all day on A6.
