The growth of this petition confirms that we have enough leverage to request a formal meeting with the Director of Housing. I am currently drafting a letter that outlines our specific objections to the limitations of the new online room selection system.

So frustrating. I have been planning to live with my guy friends since freshman year. This is really unfair to change it so late.
Fix the online process. Dont take away our rights to choose our own living situations.
This makes zero sense. Why change a policy just because your website software cant handle it? Fix the site dont punish the students.
UMD needs to stop trying to babysit us. I already had my apartment group picked out and now we are screwed.
Ridiculous. We are adults living in apartments. Let us choose our own roommates.
