This is clearly a cost-effective "win" for UMass Boston and a land use win for both the region and the Duxbury communities. The proposed project should be approved and commenced without further and unjustifiable delay.

I believe that ocean research is essential for the enviorment. When I see that ocean research also can lead to cures for many medical conditions it makes me wonder if this is an untapped resource. Keeping the ocean clean should be something all of mankind should expect.

It would be terrific for UMass Boston, for Duxbury, and for ocean research to have the Battelle campus become part of the School for the Environment. As a biologist and a neighbor, I strongly support this.
