Many labs already have the techs interpreting/ writing the reports, I believe this would help tremendously in assuring the techs interpreting are knowledgeable enough to be doing so.

I've been very fortunate to be formally employed as an Ultrasound Practitioner for the last 10 years, and have been trying to get this formally recognized for the past several years, so that many other sonographers would be able to have this position too! I would love it!

It definitely will be very gratifying for the sonographers who are experienced and know exactly what the diagnosis is but still have to wait for long periods to get STAT cases
read. Mostly all places techs are asked what they saw and to write up their impressions , So it will be super efficient to just skip that and prepare the final report by yourself.
I do recommend there should be an entrance exam for such a US practitioner program, cause its not meant for all the sonographers.
