I have been a sonographer for 16 years. I have neck issues and musculoskeletal injuries usually in neck, shoulders and lower back. This is with using the safest ergonomics. Capping the caseload would help to preserve our sonographers and less time out for injury. I also have carpal tunnel in both wrists.

Sonographers are very important in the healthcare world. Limits on daily scans is a must to preserve the highly trained members who make this modality so valuable in the chain of healthcare for Americans and all over the world.

Every year numerous images are added onto protocols and the scanning time limit stays the same. It’s tough on the body for sure! We don’t have transporters either. Moving beds back and forth several times a day plus scanning all take a toll.

Echo- we do almost 20 studies a day with our supervisor pushing us to do more the following day. It's never enough and we are getting burnt out and so tired! Lots of injuries!

I have been a registered sonographer for more than 20 years. We need limitations on how many scans we can do a day.

Hopefully, the ARDMS and CCI will get on board helping protect Sonographers. We appreciate what the IAC has initiated in giving time requirements for Echoes, and hope they will continue in their efforts for all Sonographers.

I seriously doubt I will make it to retirement due to chronic pain and leg swelling by the end of the day. It's a DO MORE DO MORE workplace anymore.
