Having 4 grandchildren in this league, I looked forward to watching them play. But what I witnessed from the administration was deplorable. Forfeits? Police? Foul language? I hope there is a new option for everyone involved.

We were very happy with ultimate flag football league with kids playing in two different divisions. We will be back next season. :-))

Paid this past season for both my boys to play, got Frankenhauser as the coach. Told the league my boys will not play for him, I never got my money back and my boys did not want to play for him either.

I am in full support of whatever is beneficial to the kids. Handpicking should not be allowed and is very unfair for both the kids and the coaches. All teams should be set up fairly according to the strengths of each player of the team.

Change is needed. I have respect for the young men that ref the games but the problem won't get fixed until you hire real third party refs that are adults and can't be swayed by directors. Until that happens the real problem won't be fixed.

My son loved this league until he ended up on a certain coaches team (We all know who). Throughout the entire season I witnessed the most grotesque display of nepotism imaginable. During practice my son way, way more than held his own at the position in question yet didn t get to play a single second during games. My son lost interest and didn't want to return. Please make this change happen.

While there has certainly been some drama this past season, I look forward to coaching players next season. I am on board with whatever gives our kids a better experience.

We played 2 years ago and did not return due to bad management, leadership and unfair teams. The leaders assured there teams were stacked with talent. Our coach Eric was great and made the best of a unfair situation.

Last season was the first time that we haven't been involved in the Ultimate League. I began coaching in that league 8 years ago. I have coached every season and all of my kids have played in the Ultimate league. One of the things that I've prided myself on is that almost every single kid that I've coached has returned to play in the league because of how my coaches and I have coached and handled the kids. Every season I made sure that every kid caught a touchdown or had multiple opportunities to catch a touchdown. Ask any of my player parents. I didn't just give the ball to one or two kids the entire game like most of the teams. This is what it's about.
We chose not to play this season for many reasons. I agree with most of the comments that I've read. Changes need to be made from the top down. Even though the Ultimate league "numbers" were slightly up from the previous season, you will see a drastic drop if there is another option for families. The only problem you will have is finding a suitable location for the games. My family and I would support the new league.

The president or any board member should not be coaching in my opinion. It makes it extremely hard to be objective and no one's kids should be referee for a game that their sibling is on or their parent is coaching. With that said, I know (good) coaches are hard to come by, so needing board members is probably a necessity.
These changes are much needed and appreciated. The disparity in calls for one team over another and the blaringly biased draft is appalling too. We are supposed to be building these kids spirit for the sport, not beating them down with unfair teams and a 1-10 season. We support these changes whole heartedly.

I thought I was all alone! My son loved football until we joined this league. It almost destroyed his passion for the sport. My husband signed up to be a couch because we received an email saying that there were too many teams and not enough coaches. They didn't help us in any way as new coaches and basically laughed at us as they handed us all the kids they didn't want on their teams. During a game one of the smallest kids on our team got scared and ran the other direction after he caught the ball as a group of boys was running at him. One of the directors was there and started hysterically laughing as the poor boy ran off the field crying and said it was the best play he'd seen all year.
The draft is bull. They hand pick the teams they want way before the draft which makes the teams very unevenly matched and they do not abide by the rules that they set in place.
I watch from the sidelines as the coach (who was also a director on the board) told the ref (who was also his son) to call a foul that the ref never even saw.
One of the craziest things I saw was when one of the directors/coach's team lost a game their son started crying. The coach yelled at the rest of his team that they should be crying too! Are you kidding me? No they shouldn't! It's suppose to be fun! but it was anything but fun with the corrupted group of frat boys who were running it. I am excited for a change. I tried to reach out to someone about my concerns but there was no where to go.
Everynight my son would come home crying and dreaded when I would tell him there was football that night.

My grandson loves football and everynight he was upset because football wasn't fun anymore. This league was not fair and the directors were power hungry jerks.

I coached this past season and was told by the board that they did not feel that my son (8 years old) and I were a good fit for the league. Apparently they do not like when you speak up and stick up for the children. The league was corrupt and I was beyond disappointed. I am so glad a change is coming.
