UKZN students refusal to rewrite Economics 202/204 examination.

Utterly ridiculous. Ukzn has placed the blame on students without evidence, what about their side? It could as well have been an internal leak as well which needs to be investigated. Rewriting is not the correct answer, perhaps look into changing the weighting of the exam versus dp. Very childish of UKZN eco department to make blanket statements without proof.

As always, all the blame is being put on the students. I personally would appreciate some accountability from the department, with a internal investigation.

I refuse to write this paper. We were made known of this 'compromise' too late.. They have also just slotted it in on the last day of exams , not taking into consideration we have other exams to write.

Just because the economics department can't prevent leaks doesn't mean we all cheaters and should have to suffer the consequences of their poor ability to protect the exam papers.

This is nonsense , it's totally unfair that innocent students ( for say myself ) , who made countless of sacrifices for this paper , must rewrite it !!! Absolute nonsense .

We refuse to rewrite the paper as it's not our fault that the university doesn't have the right measures in place to prevent situations like this from happening!
