- The Chernobyl disaster was a catastrophic nuclear accident that happened in the year of 1986 on April 26th. The Chernobyl disaster was a unique event and the only accident in the history of commercial nuclear power where radiation-related fatalities occurred.
- The Chernobyl nuclear disaster left a wasteland said to be uninhabitable for the next 20,000 years. But it could be the perfect site for a solar farm. The site seems particularly suitable for a solar farm because it gets lots of sunlight and the land is cheap. Investing in solar energy will help wean Ukraine off of its dependency on natural gas, It will also send a powerful message to the world about the future of clean energy.
Together we can turn a horrific event from the past and make it useful to all of the animals and people around this area.

Reaching this point has been an exhausting climb but seeing this many people back the idea of turning a scar into a source of energy keeps me going. It is draining work to keep pushing for change when progress feels slow. Your belief in this transformation proves that we are not done fighting for a different kind of future.
