When Tony Blair won the 2005 general election, he pledged to serve a full term. It has now become clear that this will not happen, in 2006 Gordon Brown became the front runner to succeed Tony Blair as Prime Minister of the UK. Unlike Tony Blair, Gordon Brown does not have a mandate to run the country. Because of this, there must be an election! This petition calls for a General Election as soon as Tony Blair steps down as Prime Minister. Please sign this petition if you feel the UK electorate deserves to choose the Prime Minister rather than the Labour Party. Sign this Petition if you belive in Democracy! Remember, If this petition is to have any chance of success, its imperative that everyone who signs it sends the link to others, lets keep the ball rolling!
