The government announced they are halting the proposed increase in foreign aid. I am honestly stunned that this happened and it is entirely because of the people who showed up to back this. Please stay alert to make sure this change is permanent.
The government are sending too much foreign aid to other countries, when we need this money in the UK, after the announcement yesterday we are going to send even more, when people in this country are already suffering with cuts in every direction and although this is needed to send so much foreign aid to countries that have their own Governments who should be dealing with their own problems is ludicrous.
This is CRAZY, when people are waiting weeks maybe months to be treated in OUR hospitals, it is a very hard smack in the face to our UK taxpayers.

NHS going down drain, OAPs get rise in one hand, council tax rise take it straight back. people having to attend food banks, potholes in roads just left. I really do despair at any foreign aid until all the above sorted out, then if there some money left over, give it in goods manufactured in this country, note ever in cash that is just stolen by the crooked governments of these countries

Despite all the billions in aid we send abroad we are still bombarded on TV to send our £2s or £5s to help people who don't have clean water, children going blind, etc. How many £2s or £5s could be used from the billions we already send overseas.

When our NHS
is under stress and cancer patients are refused life prolonging drugs, it is time these people who are supposed to be running our country get their priorities right.

Even cutting by a quarter the 12.5 ban would pay for a 2% public sector pay rise around 3bn. Not tax rises needed.
