The feedback I have received from fellow students highlights the profound frustration caused by this retroactive grading policy. I am currently working to document these accounts so that we have a clear record when presenting our case to the department administration.

The rapid growth of this petition reflects a shared frustration regarding the recent changes to our grading policies. This momentum demonstrates that our concerns are widely held and require immediate attention from the mathematics department.

I was only .73% away from an A. It was so misleading that I had a solid A before the final, and the final left me with ALMOST an A, but not an A. It's also not fair that they made the cut-off of 85 %from the last semester to the 80% this semester.
Final was incredibly overwhelming and a few of the questions were impossible to answer with the knowledge provided in the course.
The exam was very difficult, for the amount of material we were given to study off of.
i'm very dissatisfied with the math department. I do not feel that my grade reflects my calculus knowledge.
UIC must apply disgression to the situation as many students are dissatisfied. Please either apply the new curve or curve the final.
Unfair test ruin the whole class,I don't understand how they can get away with such a thing.
The final did not reflect what we learned and studied. The UIC math department needs to change.

The problems on the final had nothing to do with class or anything we learned in class, especially the ones worth the most points. Completely unfair and cruel.
