This show will somehow always be relevant. Watching it again after so many years, it’s austere yet heartfelt portrayal of life in NYC brings the history and current day culture of the city together in a way only animation can. Why oh why did this show now find the support needed to keep going, and if stupid F*ing movies can find a way to come back after way way to many years, why can’t animated shows???

This show still had a lot more story avenues to explore and was a severely underated show. From its animation style to its homages and parody of scifi, horror and fantasy films, it has a lot to offer within this dark (sometimes genuinely disturbing) comedy.
