I am a student of the University of Ghana who is very unhappy with the outrageous school fees been released for us to pay. I have colleagues who struggle for jobs in mines and factories to be able to pay their fees. They find it very difficult to pay the school fees imposed on them, how do you expect them to cope with the increment? I stay alone with a younger sister of mine who is also a student of University. We find it extremely difficult to be able to make it to school on the regular and we now face this canker. I wonder what next semester has for us. Maybe I would return to the lecture theater to meet half or less the number of my colleagues in the class. I believe they would have deferred by then due to inability to pay or they would just drop out from school. Education is a right not a privilege. University Education must be made affordable for the common Ghanaian

The fees are outrageous. It will lead to a of students becoming drop outs.. Quite a number of students are already struggling with the fees and as each year goes by they just keep increasing it not considering the effect on the students. This is terrible!

The fees are very high that we as student find it difficult to get them financed, coupled with the fact that reasons why the fees are up and factors consider in billing some students are not clearly stated.
The residential fees must reduce.
