You shouldn't implement just part of a suggested traffic redo. While the current implementations are nice. To really make the zoned parking work, please implement a campus wide transportation system.
The zones are also limiting to clubs on campus who have labs next to parking lots that are restricted to only commuters or faculty. This would help solve some of that issue.
Riding a bike everywhere is nice in theory but not good in practicality when the weather gets sub zero and the brakes stop working (yes this really happened to me at UAH once), when it downpours, or when you injure yourself such as breaking an arm or a leg. We need a transit system to mitigate these problems.

Commuters should be able to park wherever they need though

A bus system has been necessary, especially for students without cars for a long time now. Now with the zone parking system, this need is even greater. Commuters will not want to have to re-park after every class, wasting time and gas. And Tech hall is simply too far to walk to from anywhere North of Shelby.

A transit for our parking being restricted.

It is impractical to limit us to certain parking zones without giving us a transient system. Many of us, especially freshman, have classes all over campus and have a hard time walking from Morton to Tech Hall within the 15 minute time span. Transient systems would make everything a lot easier and would lessen our chance of being late to class and missing important tests and quizzes.

not only is this is great idea it also helps people who are disabled or injured. it would have helped me immensely when I broke my foot last year.

Now that we're moving to zoned parking, having a transit system could be a good selling point for incoming classes. It would also be a good investment in the students that are already on campus, since their mobility will be more restricted because of the new policy.

Walking to tech hall multiple times throughout the day is very inconvenient and tiring. A shuttle would definitely make it a lot easier and faster.
Please
