U do every thing right but yet u still get done over and get fined that is alot of money they are going to get from us if we all pay it how is that fair?? Its not!! So if u voted and got a fine please and u didnt get the ballot in the mail

I voted along with three other family members in my household and we all received a fine. That's over $300, just imagine how much money will be made out this. How was the council election finalised when over 50% of residents voted were not received.
My son and I never received any ballot in mail didn't even know anything until we received fines funny how they can get the fine in the mail
Voted and so did my husband and both of us were fined here's the kicker I had a broken ankle at the time so had a friend walk with me to put the votes in the post! I have a witness that I postal voted!
Myself AND my partner voted, got a "why didn't you vote" letter, sent THAT back, and then got a fine saying they never got EITHER of them! THEN they wanted me to WRITE to them to DISPUTE IT? WRITE TO THEM? THEY ARE INCAPABLE OF RECEIVING MAIL!
I got fined & even went in & had my name crossed out & they still fine me when I KNOW I DID!!! Bloody discusting! I'm a single parent & struggling financially don't need this absolute DISHONESTY!!!
All members of this house voted and got fined, they ignore my letter saying we already voted the fines are now at 207.10. Admit when you are wrong council and stop ripping off hard working people surely all these people cannot be lying! Here's a tip next time don't do a postal vote. PROBLEM SOLVED!
I didnt postal vote as i thought the voting i attended at chirnside park primary school was the same thing and the postal was an option if you couldnt make it to that? So that went straight in the bin. Upon recieving a reason for not voting form i replied with this reason and still recieved a $78 fine! My partner on the other hand recieved no postal vote or reason for not voting forms. It was not advertised well. I did not know it was happening or seperate to the elections held at locations and i blame this for the mishap. I have always voted when required. This was a misunderstanding

yes my husband did, sent both votes in the mail together in the same envolope ,he had accidently written the wrong date on his ,so it was counted as a non vote,even though we wrote to them and signed a stat dec heaps of people got fines even when they did vote.
