Final supporters
Situated at the bottom of the Calvario steps, U Gallet (known locally as Gallito), has been a favourite bar of locals and visitors for many, many years. Last month, in the middle of the peak holiday season and with no prior warning, we received a notice from The Town Hall to say we no longer had use of our terrace area. We have been given no formal explanation as to why; or even the opportunity to discuss this with them. For a bar like ours to be able to survive we need an outside seating area for our customers, just as every other establishment in the town has. We have already had our opening hours significantly reduced, despite several other late night bars being able to operate in the centre of the town.
Please sign this petition so we can show the Town Hall how important Gallito is to the town's residents and thousands of visitors who enjoy visiting the bar every year. Without the terrace, the bar is no longer a viable business

I have been staring at the empty Calvario steps all morning and it just feels wrong to see the space without our tables because the life of this place really was the people sitting outside. Some officials told me to just wait for a formal letter but I have heard that before so I am planning to walk down to the office again today to see if anyone will finally look me in the eye and explain why this is happening to us.

We cave been coming to Pollensa for 25 years and visiting this bar during that period. I do not understand why this terrace is suddenly no longer available?
All other bars in the Pollensa are allowed tables and chairs outside, why not U-Gallet?
A lovely place to sit and share a drink after walking the steps. The outside space is essential.
As a tourist I have enjoyed the opportunity to sit outside and enjoy a drink with family and friends. All the other bars around town allow me to drink and sit outside so I am surprised by the proposed changes.
It would be so disappointing for such a lovely bar to lose its outside space. This would leave it out of bounds for me as someone with a small child I prefer to sit outside as I can't take the stroller in.
Absolutely No reason that I can see to do this. Absolutely wrong
Beautiful bar ran by great people...terrace is a must for business!

I moved to Mallorca last summer and this bar made me feel at home especially being able to go outside when it got busy
