The undersigned members of the Tappan Zee High School Class of 2016 are petitioning the school administration to address the elimination of Senior Yearbook Superlatives. This decision was not discussed with or officially made known to the student body at large by any administrator or faculty member, and in light of recent schoolwide events, it has become clear that communication is key to a strong relationship with students at TZ. We believe that an official discussion that involves both the TZ administration and any interested members of the Class of 2016 will help us to:

1. Understand the reasoning behind the decision and perhaps allow us to make a case for the reinstatement of Senior Superlatives.

2. Create a communicative and trusting relationship between students and adults in our school that the undersigned members of the Class of 2016 believe to be lacking.
