I sent a letter to Karen Aldred in 2007 which I have forwarded to Chris Green asking if it was possible for a crossing/traffic lights at the junction of Tyldesley Old Road and Tyldesley Road near St. Annes Church apartments but nothing has been done.

Speed and other issues (cycling on pavement, litter etc) are being dealt with. We already got signs put up but found to be useless without cameras. Attended a meeting last night with Chris Green MP who has helped so far and will hopefully influence to do more. Let's hope before a fatal incident from ignorant, dangerous motorists. Chris Green has a facebook page, have a look and let him know, the more the merrier. Mags

I'm sick of the speeding on Tyldesley rd even trucks speed .my car has also been crashed into plz put speed cameras on Tyldesley rd because someone is going be hurt seriously.

I have had my car written off twice as the result of speeding drivers losing control on Tyldesley Road where I live. I think lights are needed at the junction with Tyldesley Old Road as huge articulated lorises turn here.

My brother and sister in law live just on that junction and we had just left their house 10 mins before the accident yesterday 1/9/16 ., that could easily have been us what he had hit . Something desperately needs to be done on that stretch of road .

This is happening far to often drivers use tyldesley road like a race track I myself have had two drivers crash into my front garden and have witnessed several more incidents we need traffic calming measures before someone gets killed.

The speed some drivers come down that road is shocking and needs sorting asap. Might stop Diamond buses parking 100yard from the actual bus stop too just to swap drivers.
