My boyfriend and I live over 3300 miles apart. Because of our age (17 and 20), it is proving difficult for us to be together. We've looked into everything, and no one is willing to help us. We've attempted every possible visa but either money, our age or our education prevent us from doing so. This country is supposed to be about equality, and I feel like certain things that our government allows, just isn't fair. It's sad that our lives aren't in our own hands, they're in the governments. We may be young, but we understand how our hearts work and we acknowledge the responsibility of this entire process.

This is a petition to try and help get my boyfriend here so we have the ability to be together permanently. Even if this doesn't get us anywhere and it fails, it's nice to know some people support us. We need to know people care. If this petition is successful, we hope to make an impact on current government laws and help other couples in a similar situation, so that no one has to suffer this severe emotional pain.
