A few days ago I was on my laptop and had been tweeting away when something new and quite odd occurred, for the first time in my Twitter life I saw pictures (without asking for them) on my timeline, normally I would have had the choice to see another persons picture by clicking on it directly.

More often than not I choose not to look at pictures after reading what the description says about it,, with Twitter FORCING us, its users into seeing pictures whether we want to or not is not good enough. At least on mobile apps we have the very thankful option of having to turn off image preview.

I am hoping that Twitter pays attention to what its users want, that is of only allowing image preview if those users want it. Everyone I know, including technical experts have been unhappy with images being previewed and so I hope that Twitter takes note and sorts out this all, by giving the users the ability to turn off image preview on the Twitter desktop version.

Hopefully if enough people come forward then Twitter will listen and act accordingly.
