I live within a 1/2 block of an equestrian/boarding and training center. We love our horse neighbors and enjoy hearing the horses winnowing in the morning. The center is always clean. Great neighbors!

With the development in the Roaring Fork Valley, there are fewer and fewer options for horse boarding. Horses and agriculture are a part of this valley’s history.

Annie is a very responsible, educated and professional equestrian who wants to be a good neighbor. This proposed stable would be a huge benefit to the community providing learning opportunities for the local families. There is a shortage of public hunter jumper barns in this valley and the demand for the service is very high. Annie is being very responsible knowing what services she wants to provide for the community and keeping the facility smaller rather than the many extremely large private barns around that are not accessible to the public. The area is developed currently and would be used for its historic use of a working agricultural property. I’ve read concerns about the elk and in my experience having horses in MO HTS the elk are happy to intermingle with the horses in fields and it does not disturb the heard. Annie has proven that she is willing to go above and beyond to acknowledge, concerns and find solutions that work for everyone. She is born and raised in this valley and therefore understands the history and importance of being a good neighbor that benefits the community. Tera Boaeuf

What better way to have a long time local horse family help to support other equestrian families in the area by breathing new life into the Aspen Mountain Ranch. Please endorse the requested special use permit. Thank you.

Please allow & secure a special use permit up in Missouri Heights. For the new owners of the old Aspen Mountain Ranch, which used to be an equestrian facility back in the 70/80s! The ranch has sat derelict for more than 30 years. They are wanting to bring it back to what it used to be, a thriving horse ranch.
