If the club were not warned regularly about consequences, the league should stick to their own promotion rules as agreed to at the start of the season - or stand accused of moving their own goalposts!

If this was the issue, they should have been informed and warned about it (regardless of if they should have known or not) when they were near the top in the last 10 weeks minimum! Not now they've earned it.. Poor form West Lancs

How stupid, typical committee bureaucracy. Most professional clubs make improvements during the close season. The main question should be whether they are in place before the new season starts. If not,a fine or points deduction could be levied.
