So as it sits right now, Northland`s has the scope of turning the old Rexall Place into a a multi-level hockey rink. This really wouldn`t do much for the area, other then the fact it would bring community hockey tournaments to 1 area of course. In terms of revenue stream, I don`t think it could be profitable. Let alone all the community Hockey Rinks around the area, would go out of business.

In sight of the recent proposal for the new multi-level hockey rink. A more profitable idea would be, turning the old Rexall Place into a Major Community Rec. Center.

This would bring alot of traffic to the area from all over the city, shape up the area, bring more business to the surrounding business`s and become way more popular and profitable.

The proposed Major Rec. Center, would be Edmonton`s first Rec. Center of its size to exist in the city.

What could we see in a Major Recreation Center?

Well, the answer is- alot of course. A track for runners, an area to do Yoga, a swimming pool, ice rink`s, drop in fitness classes, soccer fields & more.
