I live off of highway 20 as well, and I too fear for my life every time I turn on to my road. A man was killed at my road because he rear ended a truck that was turning on to it. It's dangerous and something needs to be done! The entire stretch of the highway needs turning lanes!

Hopefully It's true they already have it in the works to have a turning lane on Hwy 20 from County Line road to Springville Hill

that stretch has been a problem for decades , It helped a little when they installed a yellow flashing light at 400 and US 20 , but that doesn't help in front of the Academy!
my daughter
picks up there and drops off there twice a day with a baby in the car and it makes us all very nervous . Somehting needs to be done ,please!!!

We live on Sherwood Dr. right off hwy 20 and near the school where this took place...traffic is horrible and we sometimes have to go past our drive just to safely turn onto our street from hwy 20....

I agree this last accident happened in front of my kids school, There are too many little innocent lives at stake for there to not be a turning lane there.

I have lived on this treacherous hwy for 30 yrs by fatal fail , my husband has gotten rear ended. Close freinds hudband was killed in front of east side market. We have had 2 vechicles in our yard in the last year.,i travel daily between MC & S.Bend..

I grew up right here on the highway. The school bought my dad's house two years ago so I knew this spot very well. It has always been a scary stretch of road. I have seen so many accidents here. My sister almost got hit once while getting off the school bus when a car couldn't slow down in time and swerved in front of the school bus doors. Luckily my brother was there to push her back into the bus. I had almost gotten hit by a hub cap when a truck had flipped on the other side of road because he was unable to slow down in for the traffic trying to turn on to 400w. There has been many more that have seen and so many to continue if this problem isn't fix!!!!!

My kids go to Renaissance Academy where this accident took place. It is terrifying dropping off/picking the kids up from school. Please install turn lanes, stop lights, and increase patrols.

I watched a semi almost rear end me when o slowed to the designated speed due to the school there. I was going off the road if he didn't get over my guess was he was doing about 60 in the 40.
