Horribly dangerous and misleading light due to curve in road that presents as a turn- confuses drivers about who has right of way

First, do no harm. Your “solution” to a non-existent problem has made things worse. There are plenty of streets that could for real use that traffic light.

This is more of a hazzard then the stop signs were. That area just need all way stop signs.

I drive to work at 3:30 am and get stuck at this light almost everyday. I do believe they make student crossing safer during the day, but there is no need for them after hours. It should be a flashing red from 10pm to 6am

I agree that this traffic light causes more confusion and problems. The students cross whether the light is green or not

Karen Waldo, the light is UNSAFE. People speed up for the light especially if yellow. With a stop sign they have to stop and look. And they did. It's not just about honking, though NYC could sure use less noise.

Why create a solution for a problem that doesn't exist?

This is how the riverdale "people" drive. We need a red light ticket camera there too.

also dangerous when turning left onto Waldo as it is difficult to see traffic coming down the hill on Manhattan College Parkway - have seen many near accidents.

Oh my god, every time I have to cross at this intersection, I get a headache. The lights are not synchronized and neither the pedestrians nor the drivers of the cars know whose turn it is go. It seems to take forever for the lights to change so that you create a situation where both lights are green or both are red at the same time. BRING BACK THE STOP SIGNS! And added to this uncertainly while crossing at this intersection, I walk with a cane so it truly is a bit more dangerous for me if I don't walk fast enough.

I too have found these new lights more of a nuisance than a help. They add nothing to the quality of life while seriously detracting from it. I agree with everything stated in the petition. I would add my personal experience with sleep disruption. If we want to leave the windows open for fresh air, we then are subject to the loud honking and radio noise. I can almost read a book in the middle of the night due to the light cast into our windows from the street lights. We have purchased new curtains, but they are no match for the light that finds it way around the cracks and lands in our eyes. Please remove these useless and disturbing lights.

There is no need for this stoplight as the stop signs that were there previously worked fine and there were no accidents. The stoplight causes so much noise and exhaust from cars stopped.

The light makes the intersection more dangerous. Cars speed through to beat the light and pedestrians can't see speeding cars bc of the curve in road.

Please remove this unnecessary, annoying light. It results in too much honking. There were stop signs on all three sides before, and they worked just fine. There is no reason for this light; it just causes aggravation for everyone. Please remove it! Thank you.
