I am opposed to the rezoning. Part of the reason we chose to purchase our home and live in Madison County in the area in which we live is due to the lot sizes and the rural nature of the area. The proposed rezoning would affect land very closely situated to ours. Other Madison County residents also based their decisions on where to build their homes, etc., according to how the zoning laws were established at that time. Re-zoning and diminishing lot sizes, etc. for neighboring lands should not be permitted by the Commission if it is contrary to the opinions of the surrounding land owners.

This in no way fits in with the rural feel of madison county. Once it starts, it will snowball into a mess. There are enough developments already. It will spiral out of control just like in east Orange county. We had to move due to traffic and crime
