I want a url thats been inactive since 2009. It's super cute and I don't see any harm since the user is clearly not returning.

Vampirefreaks.com did this thing were they deleted accounts that hadn't logged in in a good long while. They sent out warning messages to email accounts and I think they posted a warning on their homepage. either way, it was a great idea.

PLEASE, Tumblr. Having these URLs just sitting there is ABSOLUTLEY RIDICULOUS. It's completely unfair to people who still actually use Tumblr and have to settle for complicated and awkward URLs. Please please.

Trying to start a new creative blog surrounding a game that hasn't even been released yet. Not being able to acquire the -unique randomly generated name- that the game gave me somehow, I would have liked to use a conjunction of the name and what the blog is about. AND YET SOMEHOW THAT'S TAKEN TOO. Both accounts have no record, says google and tumblr's search engines. I'd like a chance to create what I want to make please.

it's a good idea because a lot of the good one word URL's have been sitting there for so long and their owners have abandoned them and I think that Tumblr should make it that if the owner have not been active active for over a year or so, to send them an email if they would like to keep their blogs and if they do not reply in a week or so their blog would be deleted and the URL would be available for anyone.

It's unfair to us other tumblr occupants that they can't have an inactive url. It would be most fair if it's been inactive for so long that it is automatically deleted, letting someone else use it!
