An email I received in response to the fact that I was unable to follow people last night, from Tumblr support, reads: "Right now we’re limiting each Tumblr user to following 5,000 blogs. You can also only follow 200 new blogs per day." I am currently following 2,819 blogs. So I am not over the 5,000 blog limit. However, I am one of many people who follows everyone back. I received over 10 new followers today that I cannot follow back because of what was just explained. And what if my blog was big? If I had over 5,000 followers I wouldn’t be able to follow all of them back. In my personal opinion, this new guideline is a flaw in the tumblr system. Everyone on this site loves it because you are free to do what you want, and restricting us to following only 200 blogs per day makes that untrue. I, personally, wish I could follow everyone on tumblr, and this rule would definitely restrict me from being able to do so. For a website that currently has 38,828,484 blogs, it’s pretty illogical that we can only follow 5,000 of those blogs. Sign the petition to help this come to an end!
