Our communities, environment and future are threatened by rising global temperatures caused by the burning of fossil fuels.

Therefore, we believe our university should not be invested in corporations that are involved with the extraction, production, or distribution of fossil fuels. As a university committed to active citizenship and educating global leaders, we find it contradictory and self-defeating that Tufts University invests its endowment in companies that threaten the future of its students and life on Earth, as we know it.

We demand that Tufts University divest its endowment from the fossil fuel industry in order to avert further environmental and human rights crises due to climate change.
