We have a vision for creating a centrally located, hands-on farm where children and youth can participate in growing food, learn about sustainable agriculture, and interact with farm animals and the natural world. The Tucson Village Farm (TVF) is being built on the philosophy that providing children with direct access to nature and the natural world will result in healthy, knowledgeable, and empowered children. We need extraordinary support to make this happen: volunteers, donations, financial support, but right now we need a piece of land from which to launch this dream. The ideal situation would be to build TVF on city or county-owned land. To make this happen, we need to show our local decision makers that there is broad public support for this project.
