One of the most important functions of the Tierrasanta Norte Patio (TSNP) Homeowners Association (HOA) is preservation of the architectural character of the planned community to enhance the desirability and attractiveness of the entire community. If an individual homeowner wishes to make any changes to the original architecture or landscaping, the Architectural Review Committee (ARC) must first approve the change. To ensure interests of the homeowners are reflected in the ARC approval process, a petition describing a specific landscaping item can be circulated among the homeowners for their approval signatures.
This petition, SIGNED ONLY BY TSNP HOMEOWNERS, states that all TSPN homeowners shall be entitled to exercise the option of replacing their existing lawn with a synthetic lawn that meets a specified quality level.
The EasyTurf Company has installed Synthetic lawn by FieldTurf at 11027 Corte Playa Tampico. This installation serves as the model for future synthetic lawn installations at TSNP homes. Advantages of using this synthetic lawn are: 1) looks like real, healthy lawn, 2) maintains constant, ideal appearance, 3) contributes to increasing neighborhood property values, and 4) contributes to much needed San Diego water conservation.
Reaching this threshold has been exhausting but watching the neighborhood rally behind this change gives me a reason to keep pushing. I know the board is watching us now even if they have not said a word. We are in this for the long haul.

Living in San Diego means we need to be smart about water. It looks way better than dead grass anyway.
