Mr. Bryan,
You and I met in Conroe to admire the gold sculpture of Texas Lady Liberty by Craig Campobella, we spoke once in your office at Torch about the Sam Houston documentary, were made Admirals in the Texas Navy together in Galveston, and I have given a lecture at your museum. We are plowing in the same field as my grandfather would say, and share a love of Texas History. We both know that the history of our great state is under attack and in my view we do not need an activist serving as the Chief Historian of TSHA. Dr. Buenger’s contract stipulates that a review of his performance be made at the five year mark and it is now over six months past due. I respectfully request that this requirement of his contract be fulfilled.

Please hold Dr Buenger accountable for his slighting of Texas History and activism from an esteemed position that Texans rely on for honest and factual leadership.
