Evidence shows that teen girls develop self-image problems as a result of the way women are portrayed in modern mass media, and have a difficult way in internalizing what they see. We are constantly showered in advertisements that portray a picture of a model that has been digitally enhanced. Young girls see these images and instantly think these ads are the definition of beauty, and will go to extremes to try and attain it. I'm petitioning to have companies advertise with out digitally enhancing an image.

The emails I receive from people sharing their own experiences with these images are heartbreaking but they keep me focused. I have been spending my nights digging through corporate policy documents to find a way to hold them accountable. This work is draining but it is far from finished.

Reaching this point in our campaign has been draining but necessary. Seeing this much support makes the exhaustion feel worth it because it means people finally recognize the damage these ads cause.

I used to starve myself, and one day at school I fainted bc of the lack of food, and how unlucky for me I fainted while going down a flight of stairs at school. Great cause, you have my full support. Thank you.
Teen girls need to work on feeling more confident in their own skin, I agree with this petition.

The photoshopping is just way out of control now. My little sister looks at these magazines and feels like she isnt good enough and it breaks my heart. Stop the fake editing already!
