Truro Needs a New Town Manager - Time to Change Now!

I'm a year round resident. It seems that over the last 18 months, the civility and atmosphere in town have become decidedly more contentious, with multiple departures of trusted Town employees. Something is very wrong, and that means leadership. Agendas are at work, at breakneck speed. Let's hear and honor all points of view before irrevocable decisions are made.

When I inquired about the town's plans for dealing with the serious house explosion on Hardings Way, he did not return my call. When I called again and reached him, he seemed unaware of the current situation, which is extremely dangerous. He was unable to offer how the town anticipated dealing with the situation and suggested calling the fire department. He was not helpful in any way, nor even interested in the health hazard raised by the debris field from the explosion and fire.

The current town manager does not represent the town of Truro’s civic needs or ideals. Please Do Not renew his contract.

We need to change course before it’s too late.

time to reconsider this choice

From what I have seen, the Town Manager seems to have a heavy handed approach in his dealings with our citizens. He also seems to demonstrate, at every opportunity, that he is spending tax payer dollars carelessly. Really, 70k for a Communications Director and that does not include the cost of benefits, which would bring the cost for this position too over 100k. Time for him to go elsewhere. He's not a good fit here.

We need change. I also understand that we need a Shine rep that our Town manager ended to get a propoganda /marketing person. Seniors have no help and neighboring towns will not help with Truro residents.

I stand with many of my neighbors in this request to our Select Board to unanimously vote against renewing Mr. Tangeman's contract.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have a Town Manager who respects us, who wants to engage and collaborate with us, who wants to keep our Town budget and spending from ballooning and our taxes from skyrocketing?

Protect this town!

The town manager needs more awareness of the truth and missing interity currently being a served in town government. The current town manage is out of touck and ineffective in maintaining an office of interity and trust.

There has been a noticeable erosion of our small town values with this difficult to approach Town Manager. We deserve better.
