We as pet owners who travel with our beloved pets petition the hotel industry that accept pets to make their establishments truly pet friendly. As pet owners we are willing to pay additional "pet fees" but in return we want designated pet areas where our dogs can run off lead in a large, safely fenced, grassy area on the premises where poop bags, trash cans and a hose are provided. Paying the additional fee and then being expected to walk our dogs down busy streets to find an empty lot full of weeds and foxtails in a city we are unfamiliar with is unacceptable and dangerous for both the pets and their owners. This is a major concern for the pet owner community and we hope the hotel industry will recognize this issue and make immediate changes to accommodate its 4 legged guest.
