In Ancient Greece the Olympics were born. With this global event came the Greek ideals of brotherhood, peace and sportsmanship. However, in the modern Olymics the ideal of global peace during the games has been lost. We should embrace and promote the goal of global peace during the duration of the olympic games. This is the Olympic Truce We wish to have a United Nations signed truce, by all UN members to cease aggression, war and violence during the Olympic Games. Our Olympians should feel safe when attending the games. Furthermore, instead of representing one color, race or creed of people, in their hearts the Olympians should be competing to represent the finest athletes among man kind.
