WE NEED TROUSERS PLEASE !!

It’s Ireland and it gets incredibly cold. Do you think we’re going to sit in the cold with only thigh high socks on?

Trousers make everyone feel more safe,it is less exposing and more appropriate for students especially at a young age with a boys school right next to ours. It is really disappointing knowing that girls or people who attend this school can’t feel comfortable and have to fit into the criteria “because you’re a girl u have to wear trousers” and teachers ask us..”why are you in your p.e uniform?” Well now you know. Students in this school feel utterly uncomfortable with skirts that could expose a lot. Moving onto an explanation for the cold weather: it is freezing in the winter and the students feel very cold and have a more likely chance to catch a cold. For if we had trousers we would feel more warm because of the less exposure to air. In conclusion I want to say that if we are going to study and educate in this school I say we should be comfortable enough to focus on learning. Society has changed. It is not 2 years ago or any year before 2020. People have been more comfortable to come out as a specific gender or person we must make them feel comfortable and every student in this school. I’ve stated the words comfortable,exposure and trousers I hope these three words make you understand more. Thank you :)

I think the girlies in the school should be aloud to have the option between tracksuits and dresses bc like they do so much and they DESERVE IT ALRIGHT

Yes, I think the idea of having trousers is great since some people don’t like wearing skirts and since in Ireland we mostly have cold weathers. :)

I think we should have trousers cuz when it’s cold our legs will freeze xoxo and trousers will keep our legs warm during winter and stuff. Skirts are also uncomfortable and u can do less stuff in a skirt that’s why trousers are better

I really hope we can get trousers. I think it’s really important for current students as well as future students to be able to have a choice in their clothing options. Some people find skirts too “feminine” and uncomfortable. Making sure everyone is comfortable in a learning environment is important so having trousers is the most logical thing to do to help enhance concentration and involvement for students (especially since so much engagement has been lost due to online learning).

Its 2021 and there should be a choice for school students when it comes to what they will wear at school. Wearig a skirt doesnt always accomodate all school student's, like students who cycle, walk, scoot or take public trandsort to school. You can easily be exposed by the wind, due to irelands unpredictable weather, when you're going to and from school. Skirts are mysoginistaclly seen as feminine and girly and might be uncomfortable to wear for students who dont identify as a girl. Havig the option of wesaing trousers would provide lots of equality, choice and comfort for a broad range of students in sancta maria.
