The Student Association of the American College of Osteopathic Physicians (SAACOFP) at Western University College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific Northwest (COMP-NW) would like to encourage you to consider applying for ACGME Single Accreditation. There are many of us who would like the opportunity to continue our osteopathic education after graduation. Our reasons for encouraging this include the huge need of primary care physicians in our community and the shortage of residencies.

I am currently an OMS-1 and would highly HIGHLY encourage you to get whatever paperwork the ACGME requires finished so my fellow colleagues and I have a hope of matching into Family Medicine! I know I need all the help I can get!
I am from Eastern Oregon/Washington and I would be interested in continuing my medical education in the Tri-Cities area serving the area I grew up in. Please consider applying and joining the single accreditation system as it would be a huge loss to our already limited amount of residency programs to not do so. Thank you!
Growing up in Western Washington and going to school in Spokane, I know the wonderful opportunity and community spirit that is found across our beautiful state. Likewise I think it would be important for your program to be a continued part of that tradition. The future of medicine in Washington is wonderful and bright, but we need all the training programs for primary care providers that we can get. Please consider applying for ACGME accreditation so that future physicians can train for the future medical needs of Washington and the Pacific Northwest. As a native of rural Northeastern Oregon, I have always dreamed of returning to my roots and serving a rural community as a Family Medicine physician. The opportunity for myself and my peers to serve the members of your community could be possible if you apply for ACGME accreditation. There are numerous enthusiastic and compassionate future clinicians who wish to practice in rural and undeserved communities yet residencies in these areas are scarce.
