International Trigeminal Neuralgia Awareness Day October 7th!

I am a sufferer who has almost lost my normal life to this and the doctors aren't even aware of it to even help me.

My stepfather suffers from this disease, and he is currently in excruciating pain, and he's only 39. The only thing that can stop the pain is a medication which can cause severe damage to his liver. We need new treatments that are more effective than this to help combat the disease.

I suffered with TN for 24 years, took enormous quantities of Carbamazepine & had 6 operations. The last was MVD & was 12 years ago after an upgraded MRI scan saw exactly where 3 blood vessels were compressing the nerve. I've been pain free ever since the op. I don't know how I coped but just had to. All the Best with your petition etc.

I was unlucky enough to be diagnosed with TN early this year. There is so little known about TN and so few treatments available, even though I try so hard it is difficult to make headway due to lack of knowledge and expert care.

My wife suffers terribly from type A trigeminal neuralgia she has had 3 different surgeries and nothing has helped actually made it worse please help find a cure for my wife and everybody else who suffers from this terrible horrible debilitating disease

I am one who suffers. Had the MVD but still suffer from TN2. It is a miserable disease. On my worse days I pray that I would just stop breathing to make the pain stop.
