I have watched my daughter suffer dreadfully with TN through thirteen years and three surgeries without relief. It limits every aspect of her life. The suffering of people with TN is so extreme that research into treatment and prevention should be a very high priority.

My father suffered from TN and finally found answer to pain and MVD was a great success. Twenty years later my daughter started having pain in eye with head pain. She was diagnosed with cluster headaches and migraines After five years ,multiple drug tries, nurostimulator, and many ER visits, ct scans, MRI we read about TN and requested a thin slice MRI. The radiologist who read MRI said it was normal. After researching doctors we requested a second opinion with a neurosurgeon at Wake Forest Baptist. We took disc of thin slice MRI. He examined my daughter and reviewed MRI. He found a vein on Trigeminal nerve. A MVD was scheduled. Please if you suffer ask for second opinion with neurosurgeon. Don't trust just anyone to read MRI.
