I have trigeminal nerve damage resulting from a fall onto a concrete floor. My top root is damaged and I wanted to kill myself. The pain was constant as if someone was taking a knife and continuously stabbing the top of the right side of my head. I've had 4 steroid shots and my forehead is caving in. It is a horrific thing to live with - the most excruciating pain I've ever known.

I have found that in my area, many of the doctors are sorely undereducated in regards to TN and how to treat it, especially when a patient presents to an Emergency Room for an acute attack. Shedding light on this topic, and ensuring that all hospitals have a pain management protocol in place for Tn sufferers would go a long way in helping those who are in desperate need of aid. Please ensure that those in the medical profession know everything there is to know about this horrible condition so that they can assist those who come to them begging for relief. I've heard too many stories of sufferers being turned away, accused of abusing drugs, and left to suffer all the more. This is inexcusable! Please strengthen the voice of the sufferers by backing up the authenticity of this rare and horrible condition. Thank you.
