After 40 years of suffering with TN, I was recently diagnosed. Mine seems to be triggered by reoccuring internal shingles on my gums. Medication has worked!!

Please help those with this terrifyingly painful disease. Imagine the feeling of someone cutting your tongue out and never knowing when it will hit. Welcome to the world of trigeminal neuralgia.Please help.Thank you

I have a very close friend, much more like a sister, who suffers terribly from TN and I'm always in awe of how little is known and done for those with this debilitating affliction. More NEEDS to be done!

I am close to the end of my fight I had ghamma radiation no help MVD made it worse spinal stimulstor no help moto cortex stimulstor on my brain worked perfect 4 months then it gave me seizures I have been on meds so long I have a high tolerance winter very bad for me but with FDA crack down no doc will help me now to severe a case the pain clinics tell me I may have a deep brain stimulator put in if I can last long enough to get it since I cant get pain releif anymore I am in hospital now admitted maybe 5 days most for pain rekeif but I cant live here and every night I am screaming in tears I have a 23 and 26 yr old who adore me I want to see her get her masters I want to see my grandkids I dont want to die but I font want to live like this animals who suffer we put down arent I better than an animal? I need help I cant find in chicago NW burbs rju212@yahoo

I have had this 11 years caused from an assualt have had many surgeries fail I am at top of what can b rx for me I am in hospt now 4 pain control cant live in hospt I have little hope I can live much longer I have kids who love me but the pain is getting to great w/ no help

I was diagnosed this year in September after seeing specialist after specialist for months and the usual MRI's. I have a very supportive husband who is continuously researching and seeking alternative medications etc and has just recently ordered a concoction of herbal medications from America in hope to give me some relief. People who don't understand or who haven't experienced the pain of TN don't realise how much it changes your life and that the simple things in life like brushing your teeth or eating/drinking become an event to be dreaded. We can only hope for research, funding and ultimately a cure.
