International Trigeminal Neuralgia Awareness Day October 7th!

TN is in my family.

For my mom and grandmother and my friend Kim who all suffer or suffered greatly with this disease.

Sufferer of facial pain daily for 4 years. Nobody understands or can help.

I do suffer from Trigeminal Neuralgia, presently controlled with medications!

My daughter struggles with this disorder each day. I pray daily that a medicine will be found to help all of these people to be pain free.

I am 27 and have had atypical TN since I was 24.. it terrifies and upsets me to think this will be with me, potentially getting worse for the rest of my life.. and yet it is something unseen and relatively unknown. I would love for this to change.

My daughter suffers with this condition. Sincerely hope through the medical profession & technology better treatment will be discovered.

i am from vancouver bc. I suffer with this dreaded disease. TN. It has changed my life so much. I've had three surgery and still I suffer. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. Just want to find a cure.

I have suffered with TN earlier this year and wouldn't wish the excruciating pain I suffered on my worst enemy. I pray it never comes back.

Research and awareness needed now!!

Atypical Trigeminal neuralgia possibly caused by dental procedures. I believe there are more cases of this than one might believe. Some of the staff members of medical offices had never heard of this debilitating condition.

it took two years for my diagnosis. My dentist led the doctors but in the meantime I spent 8 thousand u neccessary dollars on finding this diagnosis and treatment. It's a hard disease at times to live with especially with other chronic pain disorders. More people need to be aware insurance companies included. Unfortunately like most chronic pain disease treatment is not cut and dry and patients frustrations can be over whelming with the guinnea pig approach in treating trigeminal neuralgia. Not all treatments work for all not is everyone at same level of pain or disease. Unfortunately regardless how trigeminal neuralgia affects you it has been my experience that the disease only gets worse over the years making it a very vicious cycle and yet another full time job!

I truly hope there is more recognition of this illness, so that there can eventually be a cure.
