International Trigeminal Neuralgia Awareness Day October 7th!

I`ve this "Suicide DIsease" Chronic TN now for 25 years and I hope so there comes a cure that help against this horrible pain for me and many other patients with TN

I suffer from Atypical/Type II Trigeminal Neuralgia and the impact this disorder has had on me is indescribable. I am in extreme pain everyday that fluctuates from horrible to absolutely terrifying. This does not even account for the electric shock attacts that I experience which sometimes become so frequent and extreme it pushes one to the limits of existence. I no longer am able to work and unsure of future long term disability support. When I did work as a public school district administrator, I received no support or assistance in dealing with this disorder from the school district administrative leaders and was mocked by the Superintendent. I have three young boys to support and I need help. More people need to learn about Trigeminal Neuralgia and try to find ways to help those of us that suffer from this never ending pain and to help prevent others from getting Trigeminal Neuralgia. At minimum those that suffer from TN deserve compassion, empathy, and local and federal disability benefits.

Iv'e had trigeminal neuralgia for the past 6 yrs. Went through decompression surgery and take neurontin and carbamazapine for it and still have lots of trouble with it.I hope a better cure can be found for this because it's the worst thing iv'e ever dealt with in my life.My daily functioning has changed completely

We need awareness I watch Doctors turn my wife away becz the DEA is watching doctors so they are afraid to treat people in real, severe pain!! She has had at least 6 brain surgeries 12 radio frequencys 10 injections in face needs to be hospitalized every other year & needs ER 10 times a year but won't go bcz their mean to her!!!

I suffer terribly the last 12 years from TN have had 6 brain surgeries my brain stimulator moto cortex my last caused seizures after 5 months I never took aspirin before this Now most ignorant medical staff who don't know what I have treat us like drug seekers I hate it this fear of ER abuse killed our Emily that should never happen we need education out there so people know how badly we suffer every winter I want to end my suffering but then my children s will begin!!! Help us I can't even hardly find docs willing to treat me after DEA crack down why can't sick people get care??
