We need help! More people need to be aware of this condition, the more people who know mean that maybe, just maybe we may get some research $$$ to find a cure!

This disease is debilitating. You can not eat, talk or even brush your teeth. When the pain hits it’s like electric shocks going through your face, it causes your body to jolt in pain. At its worst all I can do is curl up and bawl my eyes out. It affects your mental health, your working and social life. I’m always on edge waiting for that next attack. I cannot believe that little is known about this disease and the only medication we can take is not even for TN but for people with epilepsy and even then it’s a guessing game as what seizure medication may help you. We are all so desperate we try anything to help ourselves from going to naturopaths, physiio’s, chiropractors, B12 injections and changing our diets. We grasp at anything that may give us some sort of hope. I understand deeply why this disease is called “ the suicide disease “

My 49 daughter has had TN for 5 yrs. She was a pastry chef but no longer. She and her 2 girls have moved in with us as her husband divorced her due to her affliction. I see her her daily struggles but also her strength and courage.

I have a friend with Trigeminal Neurologia which is how I knew about this disorder. She also has Fibromyalgia among other disorders. I feel so bad for her. I've recently developed (what we think is) Fibromyalgia. The medical community needs better pain management treatments that are not addictive but also don't make you horribly stoned...like my Gabapentin.

Please help us!
Trigeminal Neuralgia is a silent killer! It kills it’s victims slowly from the inside and out. We as victims can’t even yell out for help because it HURTS OUR FACES so bad, EXCRUCIATING PAIN!!!
Please help, we aren’t Cancer, Diabetes, Strokes and many of the other well known diseases but WE ARE SUFFERING and deserve HELP TOO!!!
