I have been suffering for the past 2 years with severe dental, throbbing, constant pain. I have had multiple root canals, as well as many extractions with unsuccessful results. This all began at the age of 25 years old and I am finally beginning to have hope that having a diagnosis of Trigeminal Neuralgia will be the answer to resolving this horrifying pain in my teeth/gums.

I was diagnosed at the age of 30 & now almost 33 and the past 3 yrs being the worst of my life both physically & mentally, I'm still determined to help raise awareness of this debilitating illness .

I developed TN as a result of a surgery. The surgery saved my life but I've been left with pain that's words are inadequate to describe. Methadone to date has been the only medication that has ever given me any relief. This is not a medication that I have been able to find a doctor in New Mexico to prescribe. So I now take neurontin which is only minimally effective. I don't want to move but I am constantly worn out from the pain.

Trigeminal Neuralgia needs more press, awareness and research. Many of us gi to ERs or DRs and find that we have to explains what it is. How sad!

I am doing this for my dad I have watched him suffer in pain for 10 years with little to no help. Something had to be done to help people that suffer from this.
